In our daily life, it is only when an event, incident, or catastrophe occurs that the power and value of video recording equipment is displayed, which can be seen from the following three piece of home security news  brought by TENVIS this month.

    Surveillance video posted on social media helps solve home burglary: Someone forcibly entered a home in a residential neighborhood near Wigwam and Eastern avenues and stole multiple items. The victims posted surveillance footage of the suspect to social media sites which generated numerous calls to Metro Police with tips about the suspect’s identity. Soon, officers arrested the criminal named Austin Jones, 23, and booked him into the Clark County Detention Center on a burglary count and parole violation. Full story here.

      Police Identify Brazen Burglar After Viewing Home Security Video: Police in Denver have issued a warrant for the arrest of a man who is the criminal captured on a home surveillance camera system stealing thousands of dollars worth of items from a resident’s garage along with an accomplice. Authorities identified the suspect Richard Page after viewing video that the victim’s security system captured. According to the video, there are two people in Danny Stroud’s garage milling about with flashlights and collecting items while Stroud was sleeping. Police said about $6,000 of items were stolen from Stroud. They also think the two suspects are linked to numerous burglaries in the Denver area. Full story here.

      Burglars Hit Gardening Collingswood Residents: A Collingswood man’s home was burglarized while the victim had been cutting the lawn of his home in the 200 block of East Browning Rd., and saw his 2007 Ford leaving the driveway. He ran inside to find that his keys were among several things that had been taken in an apparent home burglary. The vehicle was discovered two days later, abandoned at 7th and Chestnut Streets in Philadelphia. Police still have no suspects in this incident. Full story here.
